hello hello.
today was CIP day!
actually,flag day.yup.
for CCSW. er,i cant remember what it stands for,i know counselling,something something association.
whatever it meant,it was an organisation to help the elderly,especially the disabled ones.
hrmmphs.
firstlae,went to ghim moh headquarters to collect the tins..and where i got my FIRST DONATION from jiawei!(:
felt quite good,at least got a headstart.
haha.
then we all decided to take a cab to CLEMENTI(aha,it was a gooooood place to be).
eudora and noelle went to the mrt station and taxistand area..
then cecelia,delia and i walked around clementi area.
hmm,and i realised there were many types of doners!
1)the super-enthusiastic-very-willing-to-donate.
eg.aunties,little kids,the elderly themselves.
whether it was out of pity because we looked realllly tired, to benefit themselves(the old folks),to amuse themselves(littlekids),or out of a kind heart, it was MUCH APPREACIATED!
these people made my day,really.(:
shall try to be like one of them next time too!
2)the people who pretend that you dont exist!
they WALK RIGHT PAST YOU as though you didnt even exist.
like,HELLO i know im pretty short,standing at 158.8cm.
BUT,that's like the average height for singaporeans what!
and the many people i saw werent much taller than me,
SO NO EXCUSE LIKE" i didnt see you whaaat!".
plus,it's really rude you know!
i'm politely asking you IF you would LIKE to donate.
i'm giving you a choice.
so you can choose to say no,i wont like go curse you or anything.
BUT YOU IGNORED ME!
unforgivable.
so rude!
nevermind.
3)the frowners.
now,these are the kind you are SUPER scared to approach.
cos they look like if you ask them,smoke will start coming out from their ears and they'll be like ROARRRRRRRRRRR.....and you flyyy all the way to timbaktu.
but,appearances can be deceiving.
i tried asking some really scary/angry looking ppl.
and they actually donated.
and when i said have a nice day,
wahh..they smile until so big.
see,i say nice thing,then they be nice too(:
what a beautiful world.
4)the avoiders
wah,this kind.
the most obvious of all.
OBVIOUSLY walking towards your direction,
you hold up your can,and take one step.
SWOOOOSH.
like got invisible force sucking them to the other direction like that.
then they dont dare look at you in the eye cos they're guilty!!!
then soon right,both you and the surrounding are NORTH POLES.
like poles?repel.
so you see this huge blank magnetic field surrounding you.
cos everyone's avoiding you!
then make me feel like i kena some kind of disease.
hahah.
5)the reluctants
actually walking quite fast(pretend they rushing for time,but i smart. still target.then their conscience will tell them to donate.HEHEHE).
they will make a tsktsk sound,give an irritated,or (sometimes)arrogant face,and rudely push their coins into the can(sometimes,dropping the coin in process,then they become SUPER PAISEH-ED).
this kind,nevermind.
just smile.

6)the "YOU CANNOT SEE MY STICKER HUH!?"
arh,this one,very popular,especially after a period of time.
cos they have donated to your friend before,so will paste sticker mah.
then when you approach them(ok,partly my fault,cos sometimes i cant see la,very anxious to get more donations,haha.),they JAB the sticker and give this" you blind or what?!" look.
sigh.
got sticker,say nicely ma.
then i will smile and say thankyou.
you jabjabjab and so fierce,who want to say thank you?lol.
hoho.got one woman,i think she pasted it on her arm
but it somehow,went under her,(LOL) armpit.
then when i asked,she started jabbing her arm.
then i was squinting and peering and i couldnt see ANY sticker except a mole.
but i just smile,and walk away la.
then i turn around,and i saw the sticker under her, underarm.
lol.
then i burst out laughing.like mad.
i dont know if she heard,
and i know it's quite mean,
but seriously,it's a WEIRD place to paste a sticker.
how you going to let people see?
dont tell me lift up your arm?!
hahahha.okay,dont laugh alr.so mean!
7)the GENEROUS!
oooh,this one i like!
put notes one!
or alot alot of coins.
or one dollar coins.
hehehe.
there was this guy,
he put in 50cents,and asked ALOT of qns abt the organisation
then he walked away,and came back again,with a ten dollar bill!
and he squeezed it in and smiled.
so nice!
and no,lix,he's not a chikopek.
he's a very nice man who cares for the elderly.hahaha.
ooh,then there was another two foreign guys.
they had a plastic bag,FULL of loose change.
and they dumped like 2/3 of it into the can.
(: grins grins grins.
now,who says it isnt good to have lotsa coins with you!
and last time eudora still scold me for having too many cos it made my wallet stink.
8)the stingy.
they have ALOT of coins,then they pick out the one with the least value.
aha.
but this kind,cannot blame.
i do that too sometimes when i have insufficient cash.
9)the skeptics
WAH.
the worst is.
ask ALOT of qns,and DONT donate.

some indian lady.
asked alot of qns,
then instead of donating,
she started criticising the govt!
saying stufff like"why must pay for the govt?im alr paying taxes!...."

firstly,it's not PAYING the govt.
it's making a DONATION.
for CHARITY.
secondly,we didnt' force you to drop money in.
so dont ask why MUST pay.
thirdly,
we are volunteers,not MPs.
if you want to comment on the govt,

at first i thought there was nothing special,but the fire extinguisher part convinced me otherwise.
man,i thought i was going to fall off the chair, i laughed NON-STOP,and VERY LOUDLY TOO.
altho,not as loud as eudora.
she kept laughing really loudly when noone was laughing.
